Repairs
Our dedicated team of Apple Certified Service Engineers are able to repair any fault on a Mac - in the minimum amount of time. We repair machines that are in warranty, as well as machines that are out of warranty.
We are also able to facilitate the replacement of iPods that develop faults while under warranty
Mac Repairs
We are able to repair any Mac that still has parts available for it. This includes all Apple branded machines manufactured in the past 6 years.
If your machine is in warranty, then the repair will be processed at no charge to yourself. We require you to drop the machine into our workshop, and collect it when the repair is complete. We will keep you up to date with the progress of the repair at every stage.
Before bringing in your iPod for repair, we suggest you run through the following troubleshooting steps to determine if your fault is hardware related:
- Restart your computer, and make sure that you have the latest software updates installed.
- Run Disk Utility to repair permissions, and repair the disk. You may need to boot up from your Mac OS Install CD’s that came with the computer to do this. If you have more advanced utilities such as DiskWarrior, run these too.
- Create a test user account, and test your computer again. If the problem is gone, then you know it is a fault specific to that user account - usually a corrupt font or preference file.
- Perform an Archive and Install your Mac OS. This is a painless operation, and you will not loose any data. This will rule out any system related faults.
iPod Replacements
We are able to facilitate the replacements of iPods that develop faults within warranty. We will deal with the Apple returns department on your behalf, and keep you fully updated at every stage.
Before bringing in your iPod for repair, we suggest you run through the following troubleshooting steps to determine if your fault is hardware related:
- Reset your iPod, iPod nano, iPod mini, or iPod shuffle.
- Retry your iPod with a different USB or FireWire port on your computer (please note that the latest iPods can only be synced through USB).
- Restart your computer, and make sure that you have the latest software updates installed.
